39 | Travelle | External Auditory Cancal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Travelle is a young man in his 30’s who was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of his external auditory canal initially in 2021. Unfortunately, Travelle had a recurrence recently and was referred to our foundation for financial assistance, as he is struggling with bills and is not able to work due to his cancer diagnosis. Although most of Travelle’s extended family lives out of state, he does have a family member temporarily providing housing and meals. His treatment consists of weekly chemotherapy along with daily proton radiation therapy. Travelle does not own a vehicle, and must rely on Medicaid to provide transportation to and from his daily treatments. Unfortunately, these transportation costs are quite expensive being that the place where Travelle is staying is over an hour away from the cancer center.
It was said that Travelle was always reluctant to ask for help, however really could use assistance to purchase his own food, daily necessities and over the counter medications that are required for radiation burns/rashes. Travelle also has a young child that he would like to buy a birthday gift for but doesn’t have the means to do so at this time.
Travelle is very thankful for the grant that we were able to provide, and we thank all of you who have helped us make this grant possible for Travelle.
