35 | James | Acute Myeloid Leukemia
When James originally fell ill, it was thought he had a heart infection. After transferring to another hospital and further testing, James was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
James has endured multiple bone marrow biopsies, transfusions, rounds of antibiotics and chemotherapy. He continues to receive chemotherapy on an outpatient basis. He will require an allogeneic stem cell transplant sometime in the future.
Although James does have the emotional support of his family, he lives alone and is currently unable to work. He doesn’t have savings or extended benefits such as disability through his employer, and is struggling to afford rent, utilities, groceries and gas to get to his appointments.
KWF was happy to be able to help ease James’ burden and are only able to do so with your help. We cannot thank our supporters enough for their generosity. With your help we can truly make a difference in the life of cancer patients who are going through treatment.
