34 | Patricia | Small Cell Lung Cancer

Patricia was initially diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in late 2017, and has since had a recurrence. After completing treatment for the recurrence, she was given the news that her cancer had progressed. Patricia is an extremely strong warrior as she has been through so much through her cancer journey. She has maintained a positive attitude while continuing her fight, all while taking care of her family which includes her elderly mother, grandchild and her husband who also has health issues.

When KWF received Patricia’s application for assistance, it was stated that she has never once asked for help, until now. Since her diagnosis a few years ago, she has been unable to work due to the pain associated with her cancer. Her husband’s work has slowed down which has impacted their financial status significantly. They are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with their household bills.

Patricia and her family are very thankful for the grant that we were able to provide, and we thank all of you who have helped us make this grant possible for Patricia.
