46 | Annette | Leukemia & Breast Cancer

Annette is both a leukemia and breast cancer warrior. She is currently receiving intravenous chemotherapy treatments for her breast cancer as well as taking an oral chemotherapy for her leukemia. She is a single mother who lost her job and unfortunately has a very small support system of family and friends. Her social worker has said that she is a woman who is accustomed to being independent and has always been one to take care of others, therefore it has been difficult for her to ask for help. KWF team member, Sherri, had the pleasure of presenting Annette’s grant in-person, as she drove out to her home and visited with her for over an hour. Sherri has said that Annette is a beautiful woman with such a positive attitude.

The grant KWF was able to provide will assist Annette in getting some of her bills paid off.
