43 | Yvette | Multiple Myeloma & Breast Cancer

Yvette was initially diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in August 2018. At that time, she was treated with chemotherapy. Unfortunately, in early 2019, Yvette’s cancer had progressed, and she began receiving a new chemotherapy treatment. Due to the metastatic disease, Yvette is seen regularly at the pain clinic.

As if this wasn’t difficult enough, Yvette recently was diagnosed with a malignant breast tumor. She underwent surgery, however developed an infection requiring her to make daily visits to the wound care clinic.

KWF received an application on Yvette’s behalf for financial assistance relating to transportation costs, as she has said, although minimal, she is unable to afford it. Yvette’s only source of income is social security disability as she is unable to work due to her cancer treatments. Her main concern is her rent, transportation, and utilities.
